Photo Prints for Bail Funds!
In this current social movement moment, a humble invitation to participate with me in the mutual aid effort of raising money for Bail Funds. As we know, posting bail can directly combat mass incarceration, the criminalization of poverty, separation of families, and restoration of the presumption of innocence; it can keep people from the violent, traumatizing, (& deadly, ie. covid) experience of spending time in jail and the collateral consequences of losing jobs, homes, and children. I've directly witnessed this countless times with family members and community members, and its all lead me to a deeper understanding of why we need to support community-driven solutions.
INVITATION. The invitation is to purchase photo prints for yourself or friends, and in so doing, raise money to go directly to a bail fund in the National Bail Fund Network, or a bail fund of your choosing. You get an art piece, and someone gets that much closer to getting released from jail. Everyone wins!
Here's how it works:
1. Choose the photograph(s) you want (when you click on the photo it will have a # on the left hand side);
2. Choose the size you want (4x6, 5x7, 8x10);
3. Choose the Bail Fund you want your money to go to from this list (https://www.communityjusticeexchange.org/nbfn-directory) or your choosing, or I'll choose for you;
4. Either email me (kdonca@gmail.com) or fill out the “Contact Form” on the Contact Page, the following information: 1) Photo (category & #); 2) Size(s); 3) Bail Fund to donate to; 4) Address for shipping; 5) Any special request, like a note for the person you are sending to; 5) Venmo @kdonaca your donation;
Sliding Scale Donations:
- 1, 4x6 Print, $10-20
- 1, 5x7 Print, $15-25
- 1, 8x10 Print, $25-40
- 5, 4x6 Prints, $25-40 (use as postcards! Can choose 5 different images, or multiples of same image)
5. I'll donate 50% of the sale to the bail fund and send the print within a couple weeks (minus the cost of printing and shipping).
